What was the municipal land bounded by the San Martín, San Luis, San Juan and the Baron of Maua cut ran between 1857 and 1903 the South Market. The poor facilities were demolished in early 1903 and by 1905 was built the Central Market which operated until the Mayor Candido Carballo turned it off for reasons of hygiene and sanitation, and ordered its demolition in 1962, leaving in place a well in the field wasteland.

Polytechnic Institute belongs to the Universidad Nacional de Rosario. (see info) Industrial School of the Nation was created by Law No. 5012 of the Congress of the Nation, delivered on 26 September 1906. Opened in 1907, starting its activities with a student population of only meager 28 students. In the old photograph you can see a truck (near the corner of Ayacucho) it was painted orange, squeezed orange juice sold in the winter and empanadas.

It was inaugurated on November 4, 1876 at the intersection of Tucumán and Progress (Today Mitre), and then replaced by a larger building, built in 1827 and demolished in 1980. Currently the site is occupied by the Plaza de la Cooperation. The text and old photographs belonging to the book "Rosario between two centuries (1890-1910)" photographs of Santiago and Vicente puss.
