It was inaugurated on November 4, 1876 at the intersection of Tucumán and Progress (Today Mitre), and then replaced by a larger building, built in 1827 and demolished in 1980. Currently the site is occupied by the Plaza de la Cooperation. The text and old photographs belonging to the book "Rosario between two centuries (1890-1910)" photographs of Santiago and Vicente puss.
